Debt Retirement Charge
Ending the Debt Retirement Charge for all users
The Debt Retirement Charge (DRC) will end for all electricity users on March 31, 2018. No user should be charged the DRC on electricity consumed beginning April 1, 2018.

Important notice to Algoma Power residential customers
Ontario Energy Board (“OEB”) directive: Power will be restored at no charge to those residential customers currently disconnected for non-payment, for the period through April 30, 2017. Additionally, load limiters will also be removed at no charge to those customers affected. For those customers to be reconnected, we require a signed copy of the reconnection waiver. A copy of the waiver is available for download here.
